Pulandian District is located in the south of Liaodong Peninsula, north-central Dalian City, between latitude 39°18'25" and 39°59'00" north, longitude 121°50'33" and 122°36'15" east; bordering with Yingkou Gaizhou City in the north, Wafangdian City in the west, Zhuanghe City and the Yellow Sea in the east, adjoining Jinzhou District of Dalian City in the south, and Changhai County across the sea in the southeast. The administrative area of the district covers 2,677 square kilometers, and according to the data of the seventh national census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population was 629,664 people.
In 2022, Pulandian District realized an annual gross regional product of 39.81 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 5.1% at comparable prices. By industry, the added value of primary industry is 9.93 billion yuan, up 3.1%; the added value of secondary industry is 16.24 billion yuan, up 5.3%; the added value of tertiary industry is 13.64 billion yuan, up 6.1%.
Pulandian District has a long history, and there are famous scenic spots such as Erlongshan National Forest Park and Qingquan Temple in its territory.
