Gu Gao Town, belonging to Jiangyan District, Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the southern part of Jiangyan District, bordering Jiangyan Town in the east, Yuanzhu Town, Taixing City in the south, Zhangdian Town in the west, and Liangxu Town in the north, with an area of 38.2 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Gugao Town is 28,768. In the thirty-sixth year of the Republic of China (1947), it was Gu Gao Township; in 1982, the people's commune was abolished and Gu Gao Township was reset; in 1990, the township was abolished and Gu Gao Township was established.
