Huqiu District, belonging to Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the western part of Suzhou City, east of Shihu and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, bordering Gusu District with the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Xiangcheng District; south of Wuzhong District; west and northwest of Taihu Lake; and north of Xiangcheng District, with a total area of 223.36 square kilometers.
