Weihui, county-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, administered by Xinxiang City, is located in the northern part of the Yellow River, the eastern foot of the Taihang River, and the shore of the Weishui River, with the terrain high in the west and low in the east, and a warm continental monsoon climate, with a total area of 868 square kilometers. During the Yin and Shang Dynasties, it was the pastoral land of the city, and in the second year of Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty, it set up Kap County, which was successively the county (Kap County), the state (Weizhou), the road (Weihui Road), the prefectural government (Weihui Prefecture), and the dao governance (Yu Bei Dao and He Bei Dao), with more than 3,000 years' history, and has been known as the "Southern Passage to Ten Provinces, and Northern Arch to the God's Capital". There are landscapes represented by Cangyu Mountain, Happy Valley, Lingquan Gorge, etc. and humanistic landscapes represented by Bigan Temple, Wangjing Building, Xiangquan Temple, etc. Among them, Bigan Temple, Happy Valley Recreation and Ecological Park, and Longcuoyan are the national AAAA, AAA, and AAA tourist attractions, respectively. There are a total of 114 national, provincial and municipal cultural relics protection units and cultural monuments, such as Bigan Temple, Wangjing Building, the hometown of Jiang Taigong, and the place where Confucius struck the chime, etc. In March 2019, it was listed as the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization of piece of the list of districts and counties.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Weihui City completed 20.858 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 7.4%.
