Luwei Township, subordinate to Binyang County, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Binyang County, east of Zhenlong Township and Shitang Township of Hengzhou City, south of Gantang Township and Shitang Township of Hengzhou City, west of Gantang Township and Guzhao Township, and north of Guzhao Township and Wangling Township. In 1951, it belonged to the 4th district of Yongchun County, and in August 1952, Lupu Township was transferred to Binyang County and belonged to the 12th district, and in 1958, Lupu Township was merged with Guliao Township to set up Hongqi Commune, and in 1961, it was divided into Lupu and Baihe Commune, and in September 1968, it was changed to Gantang Commune, and in 1995, Lupu Township was changed to Lupu Township. As of June 2020, Luwei Township has 1 community and 5 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The people's government of the town is located in Luling Street, Luhuwei Community.
