Cangwu County, belongs to Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the east of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the north of Wuzhou City. It is adjacent to Fengkai County of Guangdong Province in the east, Fuji County of Wuzhou City and Zhaoping County of Hezhou City in the west. In the south, it is connected with Wanxiu District and Changzhou District of Wuzhou City, and in the north, it borders with Babu District of Hezhou City, with a total area of 2,781.72 square kilometers.In 2022, Cangwu County had a resident population of 278,000 people. In addition to Han Chinese, there are 23 other ethnic groups including Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Dong, Mulao, Manchu, Tujia and Li. As of October 2021, Cangwu County has nine towns under its jurisdiction. Cangwu County, in ancient times, was the land of the Hundred Yue. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty unified South Vietnam and set up Cangwu County and Guangxin County, with the county seat of Guangxin City (now Wuzhou City). Republic of 10 years (1921) in October, Wuzhou set up City Hall, and Cangwu County partition. In 1983, Cangwu County was transferred to Wuzhou City, and in 2013, Longxu Town, Xindi Town, Guangping Town and Dapo Town were set up to establish Longxu District of Wuzhou City. Cangwu County is a typical county of the national agricultural industry chain, the third batch of Chinese characteristics of agricultural products advantageous area, the origin of the millennium famous tea Liubao tea, the core of the main production area, one of the "Tea Boat Ancient Trail" started.In April 2019, the people's government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved Cangwu County to withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.
