Dudian Town, belonging to Lintai County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeastern part of Lintai County, residing at the junction of three counties of Jing (Chuan) Chang (Wu) Lintai in Shanxi-Gansu Province, adjacent to Shaozhai Town in the east, Zhongtai Town in the south, neighboring Xitun Township in the west, and Lianghe Township in Jingchuan County in the north. The total area of the administrative region is 157.94 square kilometers, and as of 2018, the household population of Dudian Town is 36,020.
Dudian Town was named after the ancient passageway from Qifeng to the north, where it was a halfway accommodation.Before 1949, it was Dudian Township, then Dudian District.In 1983, it was changed to Dudian Town. As of June 2020, Dudian Township has 21 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
