Jingchuan County, belonging to Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the central part of the Loess Plateau of Gansu Province at the junction of Qin and Long, with a longitude of 107°15′~107°45′ east and a latitude of 35°11′~35°31′ north. It borders Ning County and Changwu County of Shaanxi Province in the east, Chongxin County and Kongdong District in the west, Lingtai County in the south and Zhenyuan County in the north.
