Introduction
Dingxi City, commonly known as "Longzhong", is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Gansu Province, an important node city of the Gansu section of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the center of the Longzhong region, as approved by the People's Government of Gansu Province. As of 2023, the city has a total area of 19,600 square kilometers, with one district and six counties under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2022, Dingxi City had a resident population of 2,505,800 people. Located in northwestern China and central Gansu Province, Dingxi is at the intersection of the Loess Plateau, the Tibetan Plateau, and the Western Qinling Mountains, with a wide range of climatic differences.
