The Xifeng Industrial Park in Qingyang, Gansu, was established in 2003 pursuant to Document No. 95 [2003] of the former Gansu Provincial Commission of Economy and Trade (Ganjingmao Zhongxiaoqi).In March 2006, it was approved as a provincial-level development zone by the provincial government through Document Gan Zheng Han [2006] No. 7, “Approval on the Jiayuguan Industrial Park and 14 Other Development Zones,” and was submitted for joint review by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Land and Resources, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Construction, and the State Environmental Protection Administration.The park’s name, boundaries, and leading industries were officially confirmed. It is one of the 34 key industrial parks under construction in the province and the only provincial-level development zone in Qingyang City to have passed national review.
