Weiyuan County, belonging to Dingxi City, Gansu Province, is located in the central part of Gansu Province and the west-central part of Dingxi City, between longitude 103°44′~104°20′E and latitude 34°53′~35°25′N, with a temperate continental climate and a total area of 2,065 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Weiyuan County had a resident population of 273,900.
