Linze County, belonging to Zhangye City of Gansu Province, is located in the central part of the Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province, between longitude 99°51'-100°30' east and latitude 38°57'-39°42' north. It is adjacent to Ganzhou District of Zhangye City in the east, Gaotai County in the west, bordering Sunan Yugu Autonomous County in the south by the Qilian Mountains, and Alashan Right Banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north. The administrative area is 2,729 square kilometers.In 2022, Linze County had a resident population of 113,700 people. As of October 2022, Linze County has seven towns under its jurisdiction. There are 11 ethnic groups, including Han, Hui, Tibetan, Mongolian, and Yugu. In 2022, Linze County's gross regional product was 7.029 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6% from 2021.
