Dacheng Town, belonging to Xinyi City, Maoming City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeastern part of Xinyi City, neighboring Qianpai Town in the east, Gaozhou City in the south, Dingbao Town and Shukou Town in the west, and Baishi Town in the north, with an administrative area of 128.28 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Dacheng Town had a household population of 52,229.
Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Dacheng was the upper township of Baishi, with jurisdiction over five villagers' committees in Dacheng Township and Baishi Township, namely, Yuelong, Hoshizhai, Guanshan, Jidu, and Likyoung.In 1986, Dacheng District was changed to Dacheng Township. As of October 2021, Dacheng Town has 1 community and 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located in Dacheng Village.
