Deqing County, belonging to Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, is located in the central west of Guangdong Province, the north bank of the middle reaches of the Xijiang River, south of the Xijiang River and Yunfu City, Yunan County, Yunan District across the river. Area of 2003 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 13 towns (streets), 193 villages (residence). It is the pilot of financial reform in Guangdong Province, which is directly under the control of the county. The county was established in the sixth year of Yuan Ding of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (111 BC) with the name of Duanxi County, one of the 15 ancient counties of the Qin and Han dynasties in Guangdong. In the seventh year of Yonghe (451) of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Jinkang County was established, and in the fifth year of Wude (622) of the Tang Dynasty, Nankang Prefecture was established, with a concurrent governorate, which was in charge of the military affairs of six prefectures along the western part of Guangdong. In the 12th year of Zhenguan (638), the name was changed to Kangzhou. In the fourth year of Daguan of the Song Dynasty (1110), it was upgraded to Wang County. In the first year of Shaoxing of Song Dynasty (1131), Emperor Zhao Ju of Song Dynasty (1131), because he used Kangzhou as his residence, ordered to upgrade it to a prefecture and renamed it as Deqing prefecture, and the name of Deqing has been used ever since.
Deqing has convenient land and water transportation. National Highway 321 through the county, the provincial highway Yuehuai line, the Xijiang Bridge and other road networks throughout the county, the village can be through the bus, the Xijiang River from the southern part of the county through the 2,000-ton freighter navigational capacity, built more than 1 million tons of annual throughput of the national second-class port container terminals, waterways through the Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao. In 2020, Deqing County completed the annual GDP of 15.7 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6% (hereinafter referred to as "growth"); the general public budget revenue of 846 million yuan, an increase of 85.44%; the value-added of industry above designated size of 4.7 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7%; fixed asset investment of 11.05 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8%; retail sales of consumer goods, an increase of 12.8%. 12.8%; total retail sales of consumer goods of 4.895 billion yuan; the actual utilization of foreign capital of 61.84 million yuan, the total amount of foreign trade imports and exports of 1.099 billion yuan; the per capita disposable income of all residents 24,560 yuan, an increase of 7%.
