Bandong Township, belongs to Minqing County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, Bandong Township is located in the south of Minqing County, east of Yunlong and Sanxi Township, south of Tazhuang Township, west of Chiyuan and Bainzhong Township, south of Tazhuang Township, north of Baicang Township. The administrative area covers 61 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Bandong Township had a household population of 45,212. At the beginning of the Republic of China (R.O.C.), San, Si, and Liudu belonged to the Second Defense Regiment of the Second District.In September 1958, Bandong Commune was established.In 1984, it was changed to a town.
