Shaowu City, known as the "Iron City", is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, administered by Nanping City, located in northwestern Fujian Province, between latitude 26°55'~27°35'N and longitude 117°2'~117°52'E, with a total area of 2,836.73 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Shaowu has 4 streets, 12 towns, and 3 townships under its jurisdiction, with the municipal people's government stationed at No. 8, Xinjian Road, Zhaoyang Street. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Shaowu City was 271,000 people. Shaowu City has a long history, the city has been built more than 1700 years of history, was one of the eight provinces in Fujian, history has produced two prime ministers, seven military ministers, 271 jinshi, October 1983, the withdrawal of the county to establish the city. 2009, was recognized as the Central Soviet District County, was the seat of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, the deep red cultural heritage, with the Central Soviet Memorial Hall, the former site of the Soviet Government of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces, In 2021, the Party School of the Provincial Party Committee officially set up a teaching site in Jinkeng.
