Longdong is the only township across the river in Yunyang County, Chongqing. Located in the eastern part of Yunyang County, it is connected to Kangping Township of Fengjie County in the east, Hongshi Township and Donglu Township in the west, Guling Township and Jiagao Township of Fengjie County in the south, and Fair Township of Fengjie County in the north. In Yunyang, Fengjie two counties junction of six townships connected to the special geographic location. Because there is a stone cave in the territory, legend has it that there is a dragon in the cave and it is named. The township covers an area of 132.7 square kilometers. Township people's government was originally stationed on the dam, due to the construction of the Three Gorges project was submerged, in 1999 moved to the dragon groove village, four groups of Damai Tuo, 90 kilometers west from the new county town of Yunyang. The new market town covers an area of 7 hectares and has a population of about 4,000.
