Baisha Town, belonging to Jiangjin District of Chongqing Municipality, is located in the central part of Jiangjin District, neighboring Ciyun Town and Yongxing Town in the east, connecting with Shilong Town and Tanghe Town in Hejiang County of Sichuan Province in the south, connecting with Shidu Town and Zhuyang Town in the west, and connecting with Shimen Town and Yuxi Town in the north. The total area of the jurisdiction is 241.25 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Baisha Town had a household population of 133,521.
At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the field was built. In the 17th year of Yuan Zhizheng (1357), peasant leader Ming Yuzhen established the Daxia peasant regime in Chongqing.Jiangjin set up Gidian Eup, and Baisha belonged to Jiangjin Dianup.In February 1956, the district was withdrawn and Baisha Town was established.In May 2001, Tanpan Town was incorporated into Baisha Town. As of October 2021, Baisha Town has 10 communities and 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The town's people's government is located at No. 199 Riverside Road.
At the end of 2019, there were 183 industrial enterprises under the jurisdiction of Baisha Town, including 26 industrial enterprises above scale. There are 63 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of 50 square meters or more.
