Zhongshan Town, belonging to Chongqing Jiangjin District, is located in the southern part of Jiangjin District, east of Caijia Town, Berlin Town, south of the border with the town of Si Mian Shan, west of Hejiang County, Sichuan Province, the first beach town, Zihuai Town, north of Yongxing Town, Caijia Town, adjoining the Jiangjin District People's Government, 56 km away from the site of the area, with a total area of 154.42 square kilometers.
In the fourth year of Ming Hongwu (1371), the territory of Zhongshan Township belonged to Shooting Creek Li, Zhongxin Township, Jiangjin County; in December 1993, Zhongshan Township and Changle Township merged to form Zhongshan Township. As of the end of 2018, Zhongshan Town had a household population of 27,828. As of June 2020, Zhongshan Township has one community and six administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Sanhechang.
In 2018, Zhongshan Town had 27 industrial enterprises and 11 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
