Hefeng Township is subordinate to Fengjie County of Chongqing. Hefeng Township was merged with Zhaofeng Village and Changlian Village of the original Hefeng Township and Changcai Township when Fengjie County adjusted the township establishment in July, 2004. It is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, and is bordered by Damiao Township of Wushan County to the east, Fengping Township to the south, Xinmin Township to the west and Yongle Township to the north. The township people's government is located in Lotus Village 2 (two river mouths); it covers an area of 87.77 square kilometers, of which 1,300 acres are paddy fields and 9,950 acres are drylands; there are a total of 60,000 acres of forested land, and the forest coverage rate reaches 45%. The lowest elevation in the territory is 128 meters, and the highest elevation is 1592 meters. The total mileage of the township is 81 kilometers, including 20 kilometers of provincial highway, 15 kilometers of township highway and 46 kilometers of village highway. As of March 2014, the township has 8 villages under its jurisdiction, 32 villagers' groups, a total of 4,459 households with more than 19,376 people, the existing labor force is 8,431 people, and the per capita net income reaches 4,896 yuan.
