Big Cave River Township, belonging to Wulong District, Chongqing Municipality, is located in the southwestern part of Wulong District, neighboring Zhaojia Township in the east and southeast, bordering Luolong Township in Daochen County, Guizhou Province in the south, adjoining Shuijiang Street in Nanchuan District in the west, neighboring Baiyun Township in the north, and connecting Changba Township in the northeast, and is 76 kilometers away from the People's Government Residence of Wulong District, with a total regional area of 62.7 square kilometers. Before 1949, the territory of Dadonghe Township was the nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first bao of Yongshun Township; in 2016, it was changed from Iron Mine Township to Dadonghe Township.
