Huangying Township is located in the southern part of Wulong County on the border of Chongqing and Guizhou, bordering Xiangkou Township in the northeast, and was formed in December 2003 by the merger of the historical Huangying Township and Longdong Township. The adjusted Huangying Township has 6 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 45 villagers' groups and 2 residents' groups, with a total of 2,993 households and 10,793 people in the township.
