Wuling Town is a national civilized village, national ecological town, national environmentally beautiful town, the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, the whole flooding and migration of a class of key towns, Chongqing Municipal Urban and Rural Reform Demonstration Town, Chongqing Municipal Town, Chongqing Municipal Town, Chongqing Municipal Health Town. Wuling is located in the southwest of Wanzhou District, located in Wanzhou, Zhongxian, Shizhu three districts (counties) junction. It is across the river from Xinxiang Town in the east, connected to Shibao Town of Zhong County in the south, Guochun Town and Longsha Town in the west, and Dewydu Town in the north. It is 58 kilometers away from the main city of Wanzhou (Shuanghekou) and 37 kilometers away from the waterway. The town covers an area of 80.7 square kilometers, with 13 administrative villages and 4 neighborhood committees under its jurisdiction and a total population of 46,000 people. The built-up area of the town of 2.1 square kilometers, the resident population of 22,000. Wuling town has a long history and deep cultural heritage, ancient county seat. Northern Zhou period (AD 557) set up Nandu County and the source of Yang County, Jiande four years (AD 575) changed to Waide County and Wuning County, Ming Hongwu four years (AD 1371) and into the Wanzhou, set up Wuling inspection division. The word "Wuling" has been used until now, and historically it has enjoyed the reputation of "small Wanxian County". There are many ruins in the area, and the "Wuling Ruins Group" is a municipal cultural relics protection unit, with more than 20,000 pieces of artifacts unearthed, among which the Han Que and the King of Tiger Drums are national treasures. Famous scholars such as Su Xun, Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, and Wang Zhou all wrote poems in Wuling.
