Tonggu Town is located in the northeastern part of Rongchang District, 34 kilometers from the city, covering an area of 38.8 square kilometers. East and Dazu District Jijia Town, south and Hebao Town, Guansheng Town, west and Guansheng Town, north and Wujia Town and Dazu District Tieshan Town connected to Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, Anyue County. The town has 3 administrative villages, 1 community; 33 villages (residents) groups. There are two small (a) type reservoirs in Fu Jia Gongqiao and Xiaowanfuqiao, and 8 electric power irrigation stations. The transportation is convenient, and there are highways leading to Guansheng, Hebao, Jijia, Wu Jia and other towns, with a total mileage of more than 100 kilometers. Tonggu Township has rich historical and cultural heritage and charming landscape and idyllic scenery. Tonggu Mountain Martyrs' Garden is one of the first 24 youth education bases named by the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and the Municipal People's Government (after the direct administration), and the Song Dynasty Cliff Rock Carving of Tonggu Mountain's Half-border Temple is listed in the county-level cultural relics protection units and Chongqing municipal cultural relics points.
