Dadukou District belongs to the main city of Chongqing, Chongqing metropolitan area, located in the southwest of Chongqing, Chongqing metropolitan area is an important part of the Chongqing metropolitan area, but also one of the twelve clusters of the central city of Chongqing, was established in 1965. Dadukou District is bordered by Banan District in the east, Jiangjin District in the south, and Jiulongpo District in the west and north. By the end of 2017, Dadukou District has five streets and three towns under its jurisdiction, covering an area of 102.83 square kilometers. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, Dadukou District had a resident population of 421,904.In 2022, Dadukou District achieved a gross regional product of 33.889 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7% over the previous year. The tourism resources of Dadukou District are mainly natural landscape and humanities resources, mainly including Jin'ao Mountain, Jianshi Mountain, Dadukou Forest Park, Dadukou Yidu Park, Mashangxi Ancient Town, and Yanxing Paper Cutting. Dadukou District has won the honorary titles of National Greening Model Urban Area, Municipal Civilized Urban Area, Municipal Hygienic Urban Area, Municipal Environmental Protection Model Area, Municipal Landscape Garden Urban Area, and National Hygienic City (District).
