Mufang Township, belonging to Jin'an District, Lu'an City, Anhui Province, is located in the northern suburb of Jin'an District, neighboring Wengdun Township on the boundary of Sanyuan River in the east, bordering Chengbei Township in the south, Xin'an Township of Yu'an District on the boundary of Luxurious River in the west, connecting with Luxurious Dongxiang in the northwest, and neighboring with Mato Township with Luxurious East Trunk Drainage Channel in the north, and is 20 km away from the center of the city, with the total area of the region of 63.31 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Mufang Township was 36,901.
In May of the thirty-eighth year of the Republic of China (1949), the democratic government of Liubei County had been built in the territory of the current Mufang Township; in 1984, it was changed from Mufang Township to Mufang Township. As of June 2020, Wood Mill Township has 1 community and 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located on Wood Mill Street.
As of the end of 2019, there are 25 industrial enterprises in Mufang Town, of which 1 is above scale, and there are 35 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.On April 28, 2021, Mufang Town was selected to be on the list of "Stronger Towns of Agricultural Industry Creation List 2021" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Finance.
