Matou Town, belonging to Jin'an District, Lu'an City, Anhui Province, is located in the northern part of Jin'an District, east of Wengdun Township across the river, south of Mufang Township, west of the Old Luxuriant River, north of Shou County, 28 kilometers from Lu'an City, with a total area of 50.8 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Matou Town was 36,789. In 1949, the Matou Collection District was set up; in 1984, the town of Matou was set up. As of June 2020, Matou Town has 1 community and 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the town's people's government stationed in Gaohuang Village.
