Laofang Township, belonging to Luoping County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province, is located in the northeastern part of Luoping County, neighboring with Laofang Township of Fuyuan County in the east, Jiulong Township and Changdi Buyi Township in the south, Majie Township in the west, and Fule Township in the north. The total administrative area of the township is 210.3 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Laofang Township had a household population of 45,600.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the North Township of Luoping Prefecture. At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to North District.In 1963, it was changed to Laofang Township.In 1984, it was changed to Laofang District.In 1988, it was changed to Laofang Township. As of June 2020, Laofang Township has 1 community and 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township people's government residing in Laofang Village.
