Banqiao Town, Luoping County, Yunnan Province, is located more than 20 miles from Luoping County, Yunnan Province, and is situated in the combined area of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guizhou provinces, with the 324 national highway line and the Nankun Railway running across the north and south.
There are 12 village committees and one resident committee in the town, with a total number of 13,359 households and a total population of 52,077 (2017), which is dominated by the agricultural population, with Han, Yi, Bouyi, Bai, Hani, Zhuang, Miao, Hui and other ethnic groups living in the territory.
The town's most famous crop is ginger, which has a long history of cultivation.
