Mengnuo Township, belonging to Longling County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, is located in the southeastern part of Longling County, east of Shidian County, across the river from Jiu Fang Township, south of Yongde County, Lincang City, Xiaomengtong Township, Zhenkang County, Mengcao Township, a river, west of Pingda Township, north of Bizhai Township, with an area of 227.82 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Mengnuo Township had a household population of 19,360.
In the thirteenth year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1585), it belonged to Yangtushe; in December 1987, it was changed to Mengnuo Township; in July 2001, Mengnuo Township was abolished and set up as a town. As of June 2020, Mengnuo Township has 4 communities and 2 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Mengnuo Village.
