Celle Township, belonging to Celle County, Hotan Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the northern part of the county, adjacent to Gulahoma Township in the east, connected to Celle Township and Chaha Township in the south, connected to Lopu County in the west, and bordering with Aksu Region in the north, with a regional area of 9,327.16 square kilometers, and a household population of 36,764 in 2018. In 1944 (the 33rd year of the Republic of China), there were 2 townships, 5 townships, 61 bao, and 570 a within the present-day Celle Township.In April 1950, Celle County was established, with the setting up of the first and second districts.In 1959, the two districts were merged to set up the Dongfanghong Commune.In 1978, it was changed to the Celle Commune.In 1984, it was reorganized into the Celle Township. As of October 2019, there are 19 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Celle Township. In 2018, there were 13 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Celle Township.
