Hotan Region (Uyghur: خوتەنۋىلايىتى), is one of the five regions of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, resident Hotan City. Located in the southern corner of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the center is located at longitude 79.92° East, latitude 37.12° North, south of the Kunlun Mountains and the Tibet Autonomous Region, north of the Taklamakan Desert and Aksu, east of the Bayin'guoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, west of the Kashgar region, southwest of the Karakorum Mountains as a border with the Kashmir border, east-west length of about 670 kilometers, north-south width of about 570 It is about 670 kilometers long from east to west and 570 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 248,100 square kilometers.
