Shanghang Road Street, located in the central part of Hedong District, is adjacent to Dongxin Street and Dongli District across the river from Yueya River in the east, adjacent to Zhongshanmen and Dazhigu Streets from Jingshan Railway in the south, and adjacent to Xiangyanglou Street in the north, with a total area of 3.78 square kilometers.At the end of 2016, there was a household population of 55,309 in the jurisdiction of Shanghang Road Street. Shanghang Road Street was formerly known as Wanxinzhuang Street Office (named after Wanxinzhuang within the boundary).In July 1985, Wanxinzhuang Street was established.In 1996, Wanxinzhuang Street was renamed Shanghang Road Street.
