Jingping Town, belonging to Pinglu District, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, is the resident of the People's Government of Pinglu District, located in the south-central part of Pinglu District, adjacent to Yuling Township in the east, bordering with Taocun Township in the southeast, connected with Baitang Township in the south, connected with Shimoushuitou Township in the west, bordering with Shuangmian Township in the northwest, and connecting with Xiangyangbao Township in the north, with a regional area of 177.52 square kilometers, and a household population of 82,689 people as of the end of 2018. In 1949, it belonged to the second district of Shuo County.In April 1951, it belonged to the sixth district of Pinglu County.In 1953, it belonged to Jingping Township.In October 1958, it belonged to Jingping Commune.In September 1984, Jingping Commune was changed to Jingping Town. As of June 2020, Jingping Township has 10 communities and 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2018, there are 18 industrial enterprises in Jingping Township, including 7 above scale, and 196 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
