Wucun Town, belonging to Yaodu District, Linfen City, Shanxi Province, is located in the northern part of Yaodu District, bordering with Ganting Town of Hongdong County in the east, Tunli Town and Fenhe Street across the Fen River in the south, Tumen Town in the southwest, Weicun Town in the west, and Longma Township of Hongdong County in the north. The total area of the town is 41.8 square kilometers. In October 1949, it belonged to the fifth district of Linfen County.In March 1956, the district establishment was abolished and it belonged to Wucun Township.In May 1961, Wucun Commune was established.In October 1984, Wucun Commune was abolished and Wucun Town was established. As of the end of 2018, Wucun Town had a household population of 26,140. As of June 2020, Wu Village Town has 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located in Wu Nan Village. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Wucun Town was 146 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 7,785 yuan, an increase of 5.3% over the previous year.In 2011, the total industrial output value of Wucun Town reached 8 million yuan, an increase of 10% over the previous year. The total sales of social commodities reached 73 million yuan, an increase of 5.8% over the previous year, and the turnover of urban and rural bazaar trade was 35 million yuan, an increase of 12.9% over the previous year.
