Li Cao town, belonging to Huozhou City, Shanxi Province, is located in the eastern part of Huozhou City, east of Qinyuan County, Changzhi City, Gu County, Beiping Township adjacent to the south and Taotangyu Township, west of Dazhang Township is connected to the north of the township with the three teachings border. The town people's government site is about 10 kilometers from the city. The total area is 234.95 square kilometers. In January 1950, it belonged to the second district of Huo County.In August 1984, Li Cao Commune was changed to Li Cao Town, with the addition of five villages, namely Hejiazhuang, Yuhou, Yeqiao Village, Tianqiao and Shagou.
