Wanrong County, belonging to Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, is located in the southwest of Shanxi Province, northwest of Yuncheng City, adjacent to Wenxi County and Yanhu District in the east, bordering with Linyi County in the south, neighboring Jishan County and Hejin City in the north and Hancheng City, Shaanxi Province in the west across the Yellow River. The county covers an area of 1,081.5 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 6 towns, 8 townships, a total of 207 administrative villages.At the end of 2022, the resident population of Wanrong County was 354,100 people.
In the territory of Wanrong, there are two mountains, Lufeng and Jikwang, the Yellow River and Fen River, two highways, Hobao and Hubei, spanning the east and west, and two first-class roads, 209 National Highway and Yungji Road, running through the north and south. Haoji Railway crosses the border, and there is Wanrong Station in the territory.
In 2022, Wanrong County realizes a gross regional product of 10.749 billion yuan, calculated at constant prices, an increase of 5.7% over 2021. Among them: primary industry added value of 3.423 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6%; secondary industry added value of 2.371 billion yuan, a decline of 0.9%; tertiary industry added value of 4.953 billion yuan, an increase of 7.8%.
