The Xinjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone is a provincial-level economic and technological development zone officially approved by the provincial government in December 2018. With a planned area of 14.68 square kilometers, it centers on the Fine Chemicals Circular Economy Demonstration Park and integrates the Xinjiang County New Materials and High-End Equipment Industrial Park (Light Textile Park) and the Premium Steel Industrial Park (Gaoyi Steel Area), forming a "one zone, three parks" model.The zone focuses on developing high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, fine chemicals, premium steel, and modern services. It serves as a provincial-level demonstration base for new industrialization in Shanxi, one of the province’s largest fine chemical production bases, and one of Shanxi’s first demonstration bases for entrepreneurship and innovation among small, medium, and micro enterprises.
