Shuozhou, also known as Shuo and Ma Yi, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Shanxi Province, is located in the northern part of Shanxi Province, on the upper reaches of the Sanggan River, adjacent to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the northwest, with Yanmen Pass in the south, and the geomorphological profile is generally surrounded by mountains in the north, west, and south with high mountainous terrain, with the Sanggan River domain alluvial plain in the middle, which is relatively low, and has a temperate continental monsoon climate.
