Huaxin Town belongs to Shanghai Qingpu District, located in the northeastern part of Qingpu District, bordering Minhang District in the east, Xujing Town and Zhaoxiang Town in the south, bordering Chonggu Town and Baihe Town in the west, and Jiading District in the north. Huaxin town has convenient land and water transportation, with Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Shanghai-Changsha Expressway, Beiqing Highway and Jihe Highway spanning across the east and west; Jiasong Highway, Huaxu Highway and Jiajin Expressway running across the north and south, connecting with National Highway 318 and National Highway 312 respectively, and connecting with Tongtang National Highway. It is 15 kilometers away from Hongqiao International Airport and 12 kilometers away from Xujing East Metro Station of Railway Line 2. 2012, the total area of the town is 47.6 square kilometers, with 19 villages and 2 communities under its jurisdiction. By the end of November 2014, the total real population of Huaxin Town was 184,131, of which the household population was 36,218, and the total number of registered persons coming to Shanghai was 147,323.
