Qibao Town, located in the southwestern part of Shanghai, is an ancient historical town with both the natural scenery of Jiangnan water town and long humanistic connotations. It is close to Caohejing Hi-Tech Development Zone in the east, Songjiang and Qingpu in the west, Xinzhuang Industrial Zone in the south and Hongqiao International Airport in the north. The town has a network of vertical and horizontal circuits such as Qixin Road, Cao Bao Road, Wu Zhong Road, Gu Dai Road, Zhongchun Road and Hu Qing Ping Road, and more than 10 bus lines such as No.91, No.92 and No.911 start, finish or pass through the town; in 2005, the Shen Song Line, a rail transit system that passes through the city from Qibao to the Songjiang New Town, was officially opened. The town covers an area of 21.3 square kilometers, with 56 neighborhood committees, 7 administrative villages, 2 economic cooperatives and a population of more than 200,000 people.
