Sangcun Town, Shandong Province, Zaozhuang City, Shanting District under the jurisdiction of the town, is located in the Huaihe River Basin, southwest of the Yimeng Mountainous Region, Shanting District, the western part of the east and the Shancheng Street as a neighbor, south of the town of Mushi, west of the town of Dongshahe, north of the town of Chengtou, the total area of the administrative region of 66.54 square kilometers.
During the Ming Zhengtong period, it was Anle Township; in the late Qing Dynasty, it was known as Sangcun because of its sericulture and mulberry trees.In November 1983, it was assigned to the newly established Shanting District.In March 1992, the township was abolished to build Sangcun Township. As of the end of 2018, the household population of Sangcun Town was 55,590. As of June 2020, there are 20 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Sangcun Town.
In 2016, Sangcun Town realized a gross domestic product of 1.785 billion yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 1.052 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 559 million yuan. Fixed asset investment was 1.582 billion yuan, public finance budget revenue was 0.043 billion yuan, public finance budget expenditure was 0.057 billion yuan, total retail sales of consumer goods was 1.192 billion yuan, total imports and exports were 0.082 billion dollars, and per capita disposable income of residents was 15,941 yuan.In 2018, Sangcun Town had 147 industrial enterprises, of which there were more than 20 above the scale, and there were business areas of more than 50 square meters or more comprehensive stores or supermarkets 98.
