Wangfen Town, belonging to Qingzhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwest of Qingzhou City, bordering Mihe Town in the east, Linqu County in the south, Miaozi Town in the west and Wangfu Street in the north. It is 20 kilometers away from downtown Qingzhou. The maximum distance between east and west of the jurisdiction is 17 kilometers, and the maximum distance between north and south is 20 kilometers. The total area of the jurisdiction is 221.8 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Wangfen Town was 50,705.
In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), the western part of the territory belonged to the third district of Yidu County, and the eastern part was the first district of Linqu County. In 1945, it was merged into the new first district of Yidu County. 1958, after the fifth district was changed into Wangfen Township, Wangfen Township was merged with Pangyu Township and Sunwang Township to form Wangfen Commune. 1984, Wangfen Township, Sunwang Township and Diaoyutai Township were established separately, and Sunwang Township and Diaoyutai Township were merged into Wangfen Township in 1992. As of June 2020, Wangfen Town has 100 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The people's government of the town is located in Taitou Village.
