The Weifang Biomedical Technology Industrial Park is a high-tech specialized park that receives key support from the Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and is a priority development project of the Weifang High-Tech Zone. It serves as a vital component of the National Innovative Drug Incubation Base and the National Comprehensive New Drug R&D Technology Platform.The park comprises R&D incubation, acceleration, and industrial zones. It features world-class public technology platforms, a national-level specialized biopharmaceutical incubator, expert and talent apartments, and a cluster of corporate R&D centers. The park has established a science and technology innovation support system for the new pharmaceutical industry—encompassing “R&D—incubation—acceleration—industrialization”—to create an excellent environment for innovation and entrepreneurship among high-level talent.The park houses an “Academician Workstation,” a “Postdoctoral Research Workstation,” and a “Taishan Scholar—Pharmaceutical Specially Appointed Expert Position.” It has been designated as eight national-level bases, including the National High-Tech Entrepreneurship Service Center, the National Torch Program Weifang Biomedical Specialized Industry Base, the National College Student Entrepreneurship Internship Base, and the China Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base. The park focuses on R&D and industrialization in fields such as new pharmaceuticals, medical devices, bio-agriculture, marine pharmaceuticals, and bio-environmental protection.
