Introduction
Nanwang Town, belonging to Wenshang County, Jining City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwestern part of Wenshang County, east of Kangyi Town, southeast of Rencheng District, Changgou Town, southwest of Jiaxiang County, Dazhanglou Town, Liangbaosi Town as a neighbor, the northwest of Liangshan County, Hanguai Town, northeast of the township of Liu Lou connected to the administrative area of 59.56 square kilometers. It was assigned to the Fifth District of Jining County; in February 1956, it was assigned to Nanwang District of Wenshang County; in March 1958, Nanwang District was changed to Nanwang Town of Wenshang County; in January 1958, it was changed to Nanwang Commune; in October 1983, it was merged with Liulou Commune to become Nanwang District, and the district office was stationed in Nanwang; in February 1986, it was changed to Nanwang Town; as of the end of 2018, there was a household population of 66,086 people in Nanwang Town; as of June 2020, Nanwang Town has 36 administrative villages under its jurisdiction; the town's people's government is stationed in Nanwang II Village.
