Dasun Township, belonging to Leling City, Dezhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the northwestern part of Leling City, neighboring Xiduan Township in the east, Huangjiao Township in the south, Chief Township of Ningjin County in the west, and Hebei Province in the north across the Zhangweixin River, with an administrative area of 39.3 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Dasun Township had a household population of 26,504.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was under the jurisdiction of the Eighth District of Leling County, then under the joint jurisdiction of Leling County and Ningjin County; in April 1984, it was changed to a commune and became Dasun Township; in December 1988, Leling abolished the county and set up a city, which was under the jurisdiction of Leling City. As of June 2020, Dasun Township has 27 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Dasun Village.
In 2019, Dasun Township had 23 industrial enterprises and 26 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
