Taishan District, belonging to Tai'an City, Shandong Province, is located in the central part of Tai'an City, relying on Mount Tai in the north, bordering with Daiyue District of Tai'an City in the east, west and south, and adjoining with Licheng District and Changqing District of Jinan City in the north, with a total area of 336.86 square kilometers. Taishan District is the seat of Tai'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and has a long history, having entered the flourishing period of the Da Wenkou culture in the fifth millennium BC. At the beginning of the Western Han Dynasty, Taishan County was set up, Daiyue Town was set up in Jin Dynasty, and Tai'an Prefecture was set up in Qing Dynasty. The territory of Mount Tai is known as the "national mountain" "holy mountain", is the world's first natural and cultural "double heritage", the World Geopark; one of China's four major ancient architectural complexes, Dai Temple is the successive Emperors Dai Temple, one of the four major ancient architectural complexes in China, is the place where successive emperors and kings held the Feudal Ceremony and sacrificed to the God of Taishan.
In 2022, Taishan District realized a GDP of 51.946 billion yuan, of which, the added value of the primary industry is 830 million yuan, the added value of the secondary industry is 13.229 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry is 37.888 billion yuan, and the proportion of the three industries is 1.6:25.5:72.9.
