Pinghe Town, belonging to Nanjiang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwestern edge of Nanjiang County Town, neighboring Yangba Town in the east, Wangcang County in the west, Dongyu Town in the south, Yangba Town in the north, and 42 kilometers away from Nanjiang County Town Nanjiang in the east, with a total area of 67.56 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Pinghe Town was 10,407. During the Qing Dynasty, the realm of the current Pinghe Town belonged to Chongqing Township of Nanjiang County; in 2016, it was changed from Pinghe Township to Pinghe Town. As of June 2020, Penghe Town is under the jurisdiction of one community and five administrative villages, with the town's people's government stationed at No. 30 Xinglong Street in Penghe Community.
