The Sichuan Anyue Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level development zone located in Anyue County, Ziyang City, Sichuan Province. It evolved from the Anyue Industrial Park, established in 2001, and the Anyue County Longtai Development Zone, established in 2010. In 2018, the zone was included in the *Catalog of Approved Development Zones in China (2018 Edition)*, and in 2019, it was approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level development zone.
The development zone aims to become an “open hub in central Chengdu-Chongqing” and a “specialized industrial base in central Chengdu-Chongqing,” adhering to the development philosophy of “promoting industry through the park, building the city through industry, and integrating industry and urban development.” Leveraging its geographical and transportation advantages in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, as well as its strengths in the lemon industry, natural gas resources, and demographic dividend, the development zone is committed to building an industrial cluster platform that serves, supports, and complements the Chengdu-Chongqing region.
The Sichuan Anyue Economic Development Zone focuses on developing three key industries: food and health products centered on lemon processing; clean energy centered on natural gas development and utilization; and textiles, footwear, and apparel centered on footwear manufacturing. As of October 2023, the zone had signed 21 projects, with agreed-upon investment totaling 5.778 billion yuan, representing a 28.6% increase compared to the same period last year.In the footwear and apparel sector, 108 enterprises across the supply chain—including Anta Group, Anxin Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., and Minfuji Food Processing Co.—have commenced production. In the natural gas chemical industry, with the natural gas purification plant operating at full capacity, An'yue County’s natural gas production reached 2.999 billion cubic meters in the first half of 2023, marking a 4.4% increase.Enterprises in the sweet potato processing, lemon processing, and pharmaceutical industries have also established operations within the park.
