Park Overview
Established in 1992, the Ziyang High-Tech Zone was upgraded to a provincial-level development zone in 1995 and approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level high-tech industrial park in 2017. It is a 100-billion-yuan-level park under the “Chengdu-Chongqing Urban Agglomeration Development Plan,” a national-level demonstration development zone for industrial transformation and upgrading within the Yangtze River Economic Belt,one of Sichuan Province’s “51025” 100-billion-yuan key parks, a Sichuan Provincial Demonstration Base for New Industrialization (Automotive and Locomotive) Industry Development, a Demonstration Park for Industrial Cooperation in the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, one of Sichuan Province’s “5+1” Key Specialized Parks, a Sichuan Provincial Specialized Industry (Dental) Base, a Sichuan Provincial Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base, and a Sichuan Provincial International Science and Technology Cooperation Base.In 2024, the High-Tech Zone was recognized as a provincial-level outstanding high-tech zone for the fourth consecutive year; its new energy locomotive industry was designated as a Sichuan Provincial Specialized Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and its dental industry was designated as a National-Level Specialized Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. The zone was also successfully included in Sichuan Province’s second batch of pilot projects for integrated authorization reform.The High-Tech Zone currently administers Songtao Town and Shizishan Subdistrict, comprising a total of 4 villages and 15 communities. It covers an area of 57.22 square kilometers and has a permanent resident population of 101,000.
